Is the Picture Me Portrait Studio a good place to start if you're wanting to get into portrait photography!?

If not, what would you suggest!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Studios such as that are very low-end in terms of photographic learning!. However, as some have mentioned, you will learn great lessons in how to deal with the public and the unrealistic expectations of some customers!. In addition, you can get some good practice in posing and learning to communicate with the subject!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The only thing you might take away from working at a place like that is you'll have experience dealing with people, you'll eventually have to deal with uncooperative people and you'll learn (on your own of course) how to deal with them and control the situation!.

It isn't a good place to learn photography since as others have suggested they only teach you how to use their equipment and push a button!. You might be able to teach yourself to be in charge of the shoot which is something you'll need to be good at in order to do portraits!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You could learn a lot more on your own than you could working at one of those low end portrait studios, they only teach you how to shoot the way they want you to shoot!. I learned by reading books on the subject and practicing different techniques, that will teach you far more than even school can teach you!. Learn to develop your own style instead of learning to shoot the way someone told you to, you'll find photography much more fun!. Good luck and have funWww@QuestionHome@Com

Not really!. They teach you how to click a camera on a tripod!. Go to school and get a degree in photography!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
