Position:Home>Visual Arts> Which camera would you suggest...?Question: Which camera would you suggest!.!.!.!? I'm an entry level photographer, kind of just teaching myself as I go!. I want to buy a digital camera but I'm not sure which would be best to buy!. I was thinking of a Nikon D40 but I'm open to suggestions!. I don't want to spend too much money on it (around $500) but I'm flexible!.
So what would you suggest!? Links and information would be great, thanks!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: The D40 is a fine camera (a friend of mine has one, I've got a D90 myself)!. It's a good beginner's camera, in that you can run it totally manually, totally automatically, or anywhere in between!. One thing you really should do is go to a local camera store and try handling a few different SLRs!. You might find that the Canon, Pentax, or Sony cameras are more comfortable for you, or that the controls are easier to understand!. Any entry-level digital SLR camera will take great pictures, but once you buy one, you'll be increasingly "locked into" that brand, since the accessories you buy for a Nikon camera, for example, won't work with a Canon camera!. Www@QuestionHome@Com i've got a canon 350D (the one before the 450D and 400D) it's very very good and a lot cheaper than the others, i think if you're only just starting out get an older model of a good camera rather than a new cheap camera, because its an expensive hobby if u decide it's not for you at least you haven't wasted a lot of money on it!. I got my camera off e-bay it was reconditioned so even cheaper!! I hope this helps!!
