Question: Can you help with this print of Brendan Behan!?
HI I have a limited print of the Irish poet Brendan Behan called 'On The Dry' he is sitting at a pub table putting some drink from a soda syphon in a glass!. I can't read the artists name and would really like to know who painted the original!. All I can make out from the artists signature is that the first name starts with a P and looks something like 'Putin' and the surname starts with a K and looks like Knuttul!. I have ;googled' Brendan Behan but have had no luck finding this print!.

There's a wonderful Irish artist named
Peter Knuttel who is known primarily
for his landscapes but here is a portrait
that he did!. Is the style similar!?

I've just Googled Brendan Behan and on the dry,it appears he did an advert for Canada Dry,try it and see if it leads you anywhere!.
That ginger ale manufacturer may well have sponsored it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
are you sure it's not harry kernoff he was a famous irish painter at the time of brendan behan and they were good friends too!.he also did many poster type portraits may be you should tried looking him up too
