Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
1) If you're familiar with Image Ready it makes some tasks a little easier, if you're not, go ahead and ignore that!.

2) Photo Shop Document - it's not like a picture (!.jpg, !.gif, or !.bmp) a PSD saves a whole bunch of other information just for Photoshop!. !.!.!.which brings us to #3

3) In Photoshop, under the 'file' dropdown, choose "save as" and then pick !.jpg!. This is a compressed image which means not EVERY single pixel is saved separately!. If some pixels are the same color (or very close) a !.jpg will lump them together and make your file size smaller than a !.bmp!. This makes the file easier to email or use on a Web site because the info doesn't take as long to send/receive and the image still looks really good!. One more thing you will want to do is go to Image>Adjustments>Image Size, and try tweaking the settings in there to make your image a manageable size!. That will take some trial and error, but a long side of 640 often works well for email and Web applications!. Again, trail and error on image sizing will actually pay off well in the long run as you will learn a lot about images and their sizes!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

1!. Image Ready is used for web design!. You can work on your images in Photoshop and then export them to Image Ready for use iin a web design!.
2!. PSD is a type of file!. It stands for "PhotoShop Document"!. It is a pretty large file, really only recognized by Photoshop and saves your work in layers!.
3!. You can crop your photos and what not in Photoshop and (I would reccommend) save as a small, lo res (100 or lower) jpg for attaching to emails and posting on MySpace!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
