Question: How To Cap Such A Portrait!?
I am trying to cap a portrait of a person (head to waist) who is standing at about 1 meter (3 ft) from my lens!.!.
My problem is the depth of field, I want the focus to be totally on the subject, but I want the background to be out of focus!.!.
Which lens should I try, if the backround is faraway, and if it is near to the back of my subject!?
Thanks in advance!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Because your subject is only a meter away from the lens, it'll require you to use a 25mm lens or maybe even a bit wider!. And the wider the lens, the less depth of field you'll have!. However, the wider the aperture, the shallower your depth of field going to be, so if you can get your hands on a 1!.4 or 1!.8 lens, you should be able to achieve good DOF (depth of field) even with the background close to the subject!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
