Question: Photography assignment: a subject matter to photograph !?
For my photography as level, i must take one reel of film focusing on just one object and view this in many ways!. Does anybody have any ideas on what to photograph!? It can be absolutely anything, (e!.g!. a tree) i just want something that will stay interesting after 25 photos!.

Thanks (:Www@QuestionHome@Com

you can do spy work and shoot a bench in a crowded park and follow it's life through the day!. Use a tripod to keep a steady shot!. Light changes, the people that use it change, you can also make a comment on the different kinds of people that go there depending on the different "uses" of the neighborhood!.
Morning > shoppers
Afternoon > skaters
After dark > junkies ( JK )

hope I helped!

shooting an object like a ball in different backgrounds is ok too!. passable!. but will it last you a 25 pic slideshow with the same quality!? Consistency in styling is important too!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't think it's a matter of what you're shooting as it is a matter of how you shoot it!. Assuming that you can place you're object on different backgrounds, start with a small item!. Then accentuate it's features!.

These should help you get started:

1!. Narrow your focus, f-stop of 5!.6 or so!. This is the first shot you should take!.
2!. Take an extreme close up, so close that you don't see the entire item!.
3!. Take a contrast shot!. For instance, if the item is blue, place it in an orange background!.
4!. Take a shot from a low angle!. This will give it the effect of it being bigger than it is!.
5!. Take an action shot!. You'll need help with his one!. Let's say the item is a ball, then have someone toss it while you capture it in mid air!.

You can make a table top interesting with interesting angles and lighting!.

Just go around your house and start shooting things from weird angles!. I do that all the time and it's weird how many great pictures you can get out of your living room!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
