The are based on completely different concepts!. We only think they do the same thing!.

Glow paint has an ingredient that actually stores light energy and radiates that over a time!. It is made from phosphors such as silver activated zinc sulfide or, more recently, doped strontium aluminate, and typically glows a pale green to greenish blue color!.
! It actually shines!

UV paint can be nothing more than white paint!. It is the UV light that makes white shine!. It has nothing to do with the paint really!. Some paints have added color to give the white light a nice color but it only reflected of the white like a color filter!. Even a white shirt will become luminescent under a UV light!.
! It only reflects!

There is a third type that always shine!. It needs no charging or light to reflect!. You will not find it in any shop as it is radioactive and nowadays only used in diver watches!. Tritium and a reactive agent make the paint give of light!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
