Ok, I have majorly big hair, but why are all my pics so time-warped!?

I see a couple problems here!.!.!.!.

1: Like some have already said, the lighting is horrible!. You should never shoot in fluorescent light unless you absolutely have to!. The best light is natural sunlight, the peak of the best in early morning (say 8:00 - 9:00 depending on where you live)

2: Angle!. Some times, you can get away with a straight on close up, but most times you can't!. Put some angle in to it!. Hold the camera above you and to the side of you!. (never below you unless you know what you're doing, otherwise, it can give this chin fat effect that no one likes)

3: Backdrop!. Try something else besides books!. Very oldschool!. Try a park or a beach if you live near one, or just grass!. That simple!.

The camera is probably not helping, but I would suggest that lighting may have more to do with it!.

If you are just looking for a nice 'headshot' or portrait, might I suggest that you have someone take it outside, either early(ish) morning or late afternoon/early evening, as the natural light looks best then!. Don't have the sun behind you, as it will make ugly shadows on your face!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The picture looks as if it was taken close up with a wide angle lens!.The lighting is rather flat!.Look at the way the light goes in photos you like and try again with a different lighting and a longer focal length lens!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
