If they're already the right dimensions (ie!. you want to reduce the filesize, not the actual image size), the only real way of doing that is saving in a format with better compression!.

Obviously I don't know what format your pictures are currently in, so maybe you can't reduce the filesize at all, but try saving in different formats!. You can do this easily in Paint!.

If it helps, !.jpg will give you the best compression but this might come at the cost of image quality!. !.gif will give larger filesizes (with most types of images) but won't sacrifice quality, and !.png is just an advanced version of !.gif

Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Photo shop is best, even if you get a hold of an early verson!. If you want to keep the quality of the image don't use jpj, evey time you save it as that file format it looses information therefore loosing quality!. Gif would be a better bet!. Ive never used Gimp and paint is too perimitive, have a browse around the net because there are free image editing programs like picaso ect that should to the trick!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

They are still pretty small!. The smallest image size my camera will take is 1!.5 mb, not kb!. The size I usually shoot are 5 mb!.

What are you making, thumbnails for a website!?

You can resize any image using any photo program, BUT you must remember to save the new file as a different name !.!.!. overwriting your original can be a disaster

Since you don't have Photoshop or even Photoshop Elements, I cannot walk you through the steps!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i use a thing called Vso resizer
