I think this is a request to think about something from 3 different perspectives, or "frame" it in those 3 ways!.

"Structural" would be to think about it's physical properties!.!.!. color, size, materials, etc!.

"Subjective" would be to think about what it means to you!. This could be totally personal, emotional, etc!.

"Cultural" would be what sort of meaning it takes on in a given time and society!.

Example: An apple

structural: Red, round, smallish, sweet!.

subjective: Mysterious, makes me think of home!.

cultural: symbolic, common fruit, healthyWww@QuestionHome@Com

Structural Frame - (if this is a picture) - means giving all the details of the construction of a picture - how it is built up starting with the support (canvas, board!?) and ending with type of paints and their application!. This is very clearly and briefly described as at http://www!.artic!.edu/aic/conservation/re!.!.!.

Subjective - could mean two things: In general it means a personal view (in contrast to something being objective)!. So it could mean: 1) what the artist was intending when he created the work - does the work reflect his feelings!? His beliefs!?
2) how you yourself relate to the work - what reaction do you have to the work; like or not but give reasons!. (I would ask whoever set the assignment which is it he/she wants1) or 2)!.

Cultural Frame - means under what circumstances the work of art was produced!. For example, if you were talking about a work by Michelangelo - then one would mention the culture of the time he lived - which was the Renaissance, and describe how his work reflected the beliefs of the time (Humanism, man's activities in this world have become important)Www@QuestionHome@Com
