No!. In fact, that's the difference between a drafts person and a real artist!. Many people can be technically accurate at drawing things, whether from memory or from real life models!. A true artist can observe what is around him and "see" the artistic potential, long before setting somethind down on paper or other medium!.

Picasso, for instance, was a sculptor, as well as a painter!. One of him more famous pieces was of a bull's head, made from nothing but a bicycle seat and handlebars!. His genius was not in how the pieces were assembled, but in seeing the potential in the two different parts!.

I could, for instance, go to a railroad museum and sketch out a profile of a locomotive!. But, the artist in me wouldn't be satisfied with that!. I would try to find a more dramatic angle, and do the sketch from a 3/4 angle, and, perhaps from a low point of view!. What I would "see," then, would be the looming engine, as if it were approaching, putting in the suggestion of powerful movement in a way that a simple profile could not do!.

The regretful thing is that there are many people who give up too easily at their artistic expression because they "can't draw!." They may "see" the potential, but lack the technical skills!. I have repeated, many times in this forum that drawing is a skill that CAN be learned!. All it takes is the desire to put in the time to do the work!. A good coach is also helpful!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't think so, an Artist has to have a vision of what he is going to do, than he might express what he is doing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

no not really!.!.!.!. i mean if the artist sees it, only then he can express it!.!.!.if he sees differently then he draws differently too right!?
