You don't 'get better at drawing', you get better yourself!.

You need to observe your surroundings!. Shadows, lighting, where something is placed, etc!. Notice everything!. also draw what you see and not what you think you see!.

also, it depends on what you're trying to draw!. Since you said you like to draw manga, learn realism first, don't jump into manga straight away--it'll be harder to correct your mistakes later on if you do!. This is experience talking!.

And don't just draw one thing alone, don't just draw humans all the time!. Practice drawing other things too!.

Hope this helps!.

PS!. If you want to take up art as a career, I suggest you head to http://conceptart!.org/ !. Their forums are really helpful!. Even if it's only art as a hobby!.!.!.hey, they're still useful!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

My little brother is an amazing drawer and his best friend is even better!. They're only 12!. They both started drawing (using a pencil to make shapes, basically) when they were really young (like 2 years old) so basically practice makes perfect!
They both do manga too, and when I asked them both for tips they said that copying or tracing drawings you really like helps enormously!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You can't really get better at drawing, except with plenty of practice, you should just draw something over and over (like a cartoon character) until you can do it pretty well, then everything else will be easier, hope this helps (it did for me)Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you want to get better at drawing dimensions, I suggest to buy a book about perspective!. A better solution is to take an art class, you'll see something even more wonderful than dimension (e!.g!. shadowing - which bring pictures in 2D to a 3D look)!.

Hope it helps!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Draw, draw & draw some more!. Practice is the best way!. Look at your drawing from different angles (might help you realize what needs more work)!. Ask family & friends what they think of your drawing!. They may see areas in your art that you need to practice on!. One of the answers above (draw characters, copy them for practice) is a good idea!. But then don't keep copying!.!.!.develop your own style!.
Good luck!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Just sit down and work on your values, shading!. Pick simple pictures at first, and just try to imitate them!. Even if it's just a sphere, just try to get the shading right!. Good shading can make the worst picture look amazing, but bad shading can ruin the best picture as well!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Practice is the best way of improving!.!.!. you can also try to imitate artist you like!.

You can go to www!.deviantart!.com its my favorite art site in the world, its full of amazing artists and has lots of helpful tutorials too!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Practice! Get some drawing books (not manga books, ones that teach realism), many have basic tips for dimensions, proportions, etc!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
