Question: Who took the famous photograph of "the lovers" in front of a train station in Paris!?
He was really famous and I can't for the life of me remember!. It's someone like Henri-Cartier Bresson but not! It was meant to be spontaneous but there was a scandal when it was found that the couple posed for the picture!. Thanks so much! Www@QuestionHome@Com

Robert Doisneau!.
At least, that's who I think you mean!. Here's some info about the shot that *I'm* thinking about: http://en!.wikipedia!.org/wiki/Robert_Dois!.!.!.

That very image is staring at me from my bookshelf - it's on the cover of "Robert Doisneau" by Jean-Claude Gautrand, a cheap Taschen publication from their Icons series!. Recommended!.

Just to the left of that stands "The Man, the Image & the World", a retrospective of Henri Cartier-Bresson!. Pricey but also recommended, despite the complete lack of photographs of lovers in front of train stations!. (Nobody's perfect!.)

Ooh, here's another famous kiss photograph - VJ day in Times Square by Eisenstaedt: http://en!.wikipedia!.org/wiki/V%E2%80%93J!.!.!. (not posed)!.

I'll quit now!.!.!. I could do this all day!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
