One of the main things to remember when drawing a face is that eyes are usually located about the middle of the oval- once i realized that- it falls into place!. draw an oval, draw a guide line just about half way across the oval, this will be where the eyes and top of the ears are located!. also another trick to remember is that no one has a left side of their face perfectly matching the right side!. small slight differences will exist, for example, a smile might raise higher on one side than the other, one eye might close more in a smile than the other etc!.

try the links provided!. once you get the hang of basics, i practiced fine details for a short short while by taking magazine images and tracing faces, proportions etc, until i got the hang of the shading, and noses and mouths!. finally freehand drawing what i needed!.
it is just like any other art, practice = perfection and comfort ranges!.

I don't know if this could be the difficulty, but in case it is, I'll just put it out there for you!.
Back in the Mesozoic age, when I was in art school, one of my teachers said something to us that has helped me for decades!. He said,
"Don't draw what you know, draw what you see!."
In other words, for example, you're drawing a coffee cup and your point of view is a little above it and a little to the side!. So even though you know the top of the cup is circular, you don't draw the top as a circle, you draw it as an ellipse!. And you don't draw the handle right in the middle, even though that's where it's placed on the cup, because from your point of view, it looks more like it's toward the top!.
Likewise when drawing faces!. Even if you *know* someone's mouth goes a certain way, if it looks different when you look at the person, then draw it the way it looks!. Draw everything you see just the way you see it!. If you can't see the line where the person's nose is, for example, don't draw it!. If you can't see it, don't put it!.
I hope this is helpful!. And good luck!

Ooooh 10 points!.!.!.!.sounds like ur just given them away!.

Well, concentrate on practicing on just one bit at a time, eye, nose etc, and also its loads easier if the face ur drawing is at a slight angle!.

But, i can tell you thru my many yrs of experience in life the best way to improve at anything, is PRACTICE!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
