Question: How to film a sporting event, do i keep an eye on the ball or do i do a panorama shot!? or both!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Forget the ball, people are interested in the players, their expressions, the positions they get themselves into, the emotion of the moment, the ball will show you nothing of that!.

A lot of the good action takes place off the ball, so keep an eye out for that!.

Generally it's best if you follow the action and let the background blur!. A panorama includes too much and detracts from the action!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

crop the action at the side of the frame, so the players or ball move into and across the frame not out of the frame

keep you eye on who has the ball and shoot fast!. use manual made or sports mode!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

mostly try to get the ballWww@QuestionHome@Com
