Question: What's the best graphics tablet!?
I have been into artistic work for some time although not seriously!. Just general fun!. I have seen videos on youtube showing photorealism and would like to have a go at doing one myself!. I have had my eye on Wacom Bamboo and Wacom Bamboo Fun!. What would you recommend!?

Cheers!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Ideally you would try them out first, but I know that often isn't possible!. Either Bamboo or Bamboo Fun should be fine for what you need!. The Bamboo Fun has some extras - like custom function buttons - but if that doesn't mean much to you then go for the cheaper one!. Unless you're a pro doing very detailed work you don't need an Intuos (the more expensive series)!.

Wacom tablets are certainly the best for quality and longevity, but if you just want to try out a tablet without spending too much to see how well you work with them, there are a few cheaper brands which aren't bad - I have seen Aiptek tablets recommended by a few people as being good for the price, and you can always upgrade when you need a new one!. :)

You'll have to take a guess at which size would be better for you - the area of the tablet always corresponds to the full area of your monitor screen so the difference is negligible!. I personally prefer the smaller size because I find the larger ones more unwieldy, but some people prefer a larger work area!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Wacom are regarded as being the best, however as with any tool it's a good idea to try one before you spend a lot!.The size and feel of the pen is important!.They do come in a variety of sizes!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
