I've had three kids and I'm going to say no!. The baby is protected by the waters, your uterus and body fat!. The most you can see is a bump pop out here and there, nothing that detailed!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I've never seen that kind of detail on a pregnant belly before!. There are thick layers in there holding the baby-- the uterus, amniotic sac, and not to mention the abdominal muscles on top of that!. I don't think it's real!. Usually you just see a bump!. Might be a foot or a hand or an elbow, but it's always just a bump!. Sometimes you can even see it move across the belly, but it's never in greater detail than a bump!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

This to me is more of a biological or obstetrical question, not a photographic one, but my two cents are that the fetus wouldn't have enough strength to push past the flesh between it and the outside world!. Strictly from a physics standpoint, it would have to brace itself against the 'rear' of the womb, and push outward!.!.!. which doesn't sound very likely to me!.

also think about this practically, how did that photo get taken "honey, look, the baby's pushing out grab the camera quick!" I doubt that even if it did happen it would have happened long enough for someone to snap a shot of it!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

It is fake!. My reasoning:

First the "slab of bacon" analogy is applicable
Second the Jpeg has obviously been edited a few times judging by the mosaic patterns!. (or the lack thereof over the supposed foot)

Now that I have taken a look at it with a tool that detects multiple compressions (such as you might get editing a jpeg) it clearly shows that editing has taken place!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

FAKE - you can get a push out of a foot, a head or a hand but not that type of clarity!.

Think logically -- you could get that image if you pressed against a rubber glove!. But you can't get that image if you press against a slab of bacon!. And Mom has at least an inch or two or three of flesh & organs between Baby and the outside world!.

I have seen that before and wondered that myself!

I am a mother of 3 kids and I have never seen that happen!

BUT, it doesn't mean that it can't!

I knew when my kids elbows were sticking out of my side or there legs, but to have a picture perfect foot like that amazes me!

No it is definitely not possible!. Think about it!.!.!.!.there's almost 3 inches of placenta, fat, muscle and skin in between that baby and the outside world!. Do you really think individual toes would be visible!. No way!. This is definitely photoshopped!.
