Question: Has anyone bought "images on cd" through Lifetouch Photography with their school pictures!?
If so, are you able to print from that CD!? So, instead of buying a package of unnecessary picture sizes, are you able to just print what is needed from the CD!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

I work for Lifetouch and the images on CD is just a CD for images that you can email - they are low-res so you wouldn't be able to print them!. Sorry :-( I know they are overpriced!Www@QuestionHome@Com

No, I have not, so I can only give a general answer!. Probably the best way you are going to know this is by the price of the CD!. Are they only charging maybe $20 or so!? If it is a relatively low cost, then you can bet they are NOT full resolution photos suitable for printing at larger sizes, (or even small sizes)!.

For them to provide you with a CD of all high res photos that are fully printable would be requiring them to lose all possible revenue on future print sales and they would also be giving away all control of final print quality!. Most studios will not do this, as neither will I!.

If, however, they DO allow such a thing, you can be sure the CD will be EXPENSIVE, possibly even a few hundred dollars!.

Why not just ask them what can and can't be done with the CD!? I would bet it is simply a "proof" CD for you to view the photos on the computer and email, plus they will probably have the studio watermark on them!.

Don't get upset over it!. Photography is a business and an art, and photographers have to feed their families just like anyone else!. They do not exist just to go around taking photos all day and get little to nothing for it!.
