I really thought Graphic arts class was fun!
You get to learn the art of traditional and digital advertising, and the way my teacher taught it, it was really cool!.

It basically involved doing things such as monoprinting, logo design, silkscreening, etc!.
(if you need to know what an of those are, google them for more information)

However, your teacher might teach differently than mine!. Maybe better, maybe worse!. As long as you pay attention and follow directions, you'll be fine!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

depends upon what the nature of the class is!.

i've taken digital and color design classes (both of which are technically "graphic" design classes) and there's a whole range of things that can happen!.

for digital design, i've taken both good and bad classes!. when i was first learning the adobe suite, i took a month-long course that covered 4 programs (adobe photoshop, illustrator, indesign, and aftereffects) and it was some of the hardest work i've ever done!. critiques were difficult, the programs were hard to master, and we had lots and lots and lots of work!. the final products were amazing, and the class has been the foundation for all of the digital work i've done since!.
conversely, i've taken a bad digital design class!. we were supposed to cover several more programs (along with photoshop and illustrator, we also were set to learn dreamweaver and carrara 3D) and all the prof didn't know how to teach or push us to create good work!. i really didn't learn much, and i will probably never use those programs in the future!.

digital design classes are probably about as good as the teacher: an intelligent, well-read, entusiastic teacher will do wonders for you!.

as far as color design: it was invaluable!. i never have looked at color in a more calculated, objective, and thoughtful way!. if you plan on having a career in anything related to art or graphics, you should take a color class!. the knowledge i acuquired in that class will influence my art for the rest of my life!.

Every printed page and now computer format is graphically designed, size, shape, images, color, line, type, photo, etc!. are all elements that graphic designers use to come up with Ad's, signs, formats of various kinds!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
