It was taking a photo in Shamu studio, and this is what the lens focused on, i didn't delete it because i thought it was funny, and was captured for a reason!. How do you critique this photo!? what are your opinions!? Oh, and i know it would have been better if he turned around, but this was just spontaneous!. EDIT: what the lens focused on!? - i dont get it, on Auto it will tend to focus on whats in the center of your frame, try taking control and selecting where YOU want the focus - letting the camera make decisions isnt image making its image taking aWww@QuestionHome@Com HI Nathan, Ok!.!.!.!. to critique your shot!. I really like the contrast in colors!.!.!.!. the blue, white and grey are very interesting and pleasing to the eye!. To me, this is just not a picture of the back of a man's head!. What it actually does for me is ask, "What does this guy look like!?" I am drawn to want to know what the face is like that goes with that very nicely cut wavy grey hair!. I think the picture works because of how it is cropped!. You don't show what is in the water or any other elements in the background!. You may not have done it intentionally but the picture does make the viewer curious about who that man is!.!.!. and that is one of the things photos should do!. Good job!. But there is something that is unexpectedly visually disturbing to me about this image!. It's something about his hair!. I think it's the detail of his slightly greasy hair!. I don't know, it's strange -- I find it disturbing to look at!. Kind like the visual equivalent of chalk on a black board!. also, more formally, it feels cropped wrong to me!.
