Question: Drawing and Watercolor!?
I need some tips with watercolor painting!. I've taken a class but it was once a week for nine weeks and we learned things way to quickly so it was easily forgotten!. This was through a homeschooling program as I am currently doing homeschooling!. I'm not interested in going back to the class!. I didn't learn as much as I expected and as much as you should learn in a class!.

I've got an art book that has a lot of different information on the different arts!. Its called The Art of Drawing The Complete Course!. I will be studying that here shortly but are there any tips you can give me on drawing and water color!?

Thank you so much!Www@QuestionHome@Com

You need to be careful with water color!. I assume you learned something about how to mix the paint and such, but if not, you can email me and I'll give you more details!. For cool effects, you can use powders and solids like salt or baking soda!.

As to drawing, practice, practice, practice!. It may not turn out how you'd like, but be prepared to embrace your abilities and just work on what you'd prefer to be like!.

As far as materials go, if you want to draw before you water color, use a number 1 pencil!. The harder led leaves lighter lines that pretty much disappear with water (and with water color, you really don't want outlines)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Carry a sketchbook with you!.!.!.everywhere!!.Draw ever chance you get!. You will start to develop your style!.

Water coloring takes practice too!.!.!.practice color saturation, brush strokes and blending on on a scrap piece of paper!. In my studio classes we had to water color our plans for projects!. Many of the students would create these cups of colored water and just paint straight from the cups!. I found the tubes of water color the best!. I would place a little bit on a palette and gently mix the water into it as I painted!. That way you can control the color/ saturation better!. Be patient and you will learn!.

Best wishes!.!.!.email me if you need anymore help :)Www@QuestionHome@Com
