Question: Using Matchpots on canvas instead of acrylic!?
Im doing a secret art project for a present that I have about 3 days to make!. I have canvases but have no art shops around to buy acrylic paint, can it be bought from B&Q (Diy shops)!.

If I can't get acrylics will matchpots for wall paint be sufficient!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Matchpots will be fine on canvas if you don't use them too thickly ie!. pouring puddles of paint as the thicker applications may crack from the flexible surface!.

If you're unsure try adding a little PVA glue (also found in DIY shops) to the matchpot before using and mix well, this should add a little plasticity to the paint!.

If you are relying on town centre shops rather than art shops you might find somewhere like "Woolworth's" will sell small tubes of basic colours in acrylic, or theres always WHSmiths (if you're in the UK) who usually have an arts and crafts section!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
