What's a good way to get started in photography!? I already have they whole "grabbing a camera and snapping photo's" thing but I'd like to take it a little more seriously!. Any suggestions!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Ask your self at least 3 questions:
1!. What is my subject!?
2!. How can I simplify the scene!? Look for distracting backgrounds, poles and trees growing out of peoples heads and the like!.

3!. How can I draw attention to my subject!?
Look for natural framing devices
Contrasting colors
shapes
or can something be done in camera like selective focus

If your interested in photography, just bring your camera to almost all the places you go to!. Take photo's of unusual things, that not many photographers don't capture!.
also, taking photo of the sun can be very interesting, but don't look directly at the sun, while taking the photo!
Take photos of things that captures your eye!.
Any random and unusual photo's you take can become abstract!.

I'm just getting started in photography too!. A couple of years ago, I purchased a Nikon D70s Digital SLR!. You first want to make sure you have a great camera!. I haven't taken any classes, but just from experimenting and reading stuff online I've learned a lot!. I started a website for my photography using blogspot!.com, you can have a free blog site!. Then I put together a portfolio of my best pics, and uploaded them to a picasa album, and I put a link to the picasa album on my blog!. I gave out my blog address to friends and family, and I posted ads on Craigslist that I was an amateur photographer looking for experience!. I've actually gotten a lot of response from Craig's list, and I already shot a wedding, my first real job, and my first wedding! I haven't taken any classes or anything!. I also printed out free business cards on vistaprint!.com with my phone number and blog site address!. I think you really just need to take a ton of pictures of your friends and family and get lots of practice and then start getting your name out there!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Check with a local community college to see if they offer a Photography I class for beginners!. It's usually relatively cheap, and if you want to do film and develop it, the class would be helpful in learning!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
