Tripod, reflectors, difusers, cable release, umbrella, ring macro flash maybe, extension tubes/ close up filters, polariser, good clothes to roll around on the ground in,

for each composition ask yourself these questions

what does the image look like cropped in the viewfinder!?
where are the shadows falling!?
should i fill with a reflector/ difuse some/all the light!?
is this the same angle/view/perpective every other flower image is shot with!?
do i have a point of difference!?

then study the composition, cropping in the viewfinder, check the corners and shoot,

Many gardens will not permit a tripod, ask ahead!. Mono pods are usually ok!. Macro is your best choice!. Try to isolate a flower and get on it's level!. Don't always shoot downwards!. Lighting will change with your location!. http://www!.flickr!.com/photos/perki88/234!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

take a picture to where it looks different/interesting!.
