Question: Is it appropriate not to use enhancements with photoshop etc for a photo!?
or is it impossible to exceed "good photos" without it!?

I think a lot of people rely on Photoshop too much!. It can't replace taking a good photo to begin with!.

The picture I link to below!. I took that pretty much as is!. I cropped it a bit because Mother Nature didn't put the lightning bolt as close to the left edge of the frame as I would have liked!. There was also a distant neighbor's porch light I cloned out!. And that's it!.

As far as websites, there are tons of them!. Do a search for "Photoshop training" and such!. There are also a number of good paper books that are handy to have so you can use them as reference material!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

of course you can!. the best photographers don't need to rely on photoshop to create amazing pictures, I'm a photographer myself, i hardly use photoshop unless it is to adjust contrast, brightness, those kind of things!. the idea is to take a good photo, not having to touch it up excessively on photoshop!.
