HI, I am just a hobby photographer I have a Nikon D60, but recently my friend asked if I would do her engagement photos because she liked my work!. I said okay, and researched a lot of different possible poses, but now I am nervous, do you have any advice for me, anyone who knows the D60, what different settings would be good for an early evening shoot!? ANY advice I will take, thanks so much!! I want to do a good job and make her happy!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Personally, I hate flashes and try to avoid using them at all costs!. Strobes!.!.!.different story, but the on-camera flashes stink as do most of the hot shoe ones!. I don't like the light, I don't like the harsh shadows, I don't like the recycle time, I don't like the way they eat batteries like a Jenny Craig dropout with a box of donuts!.

Anyway, if you're like this, you're going to need a fast lens!. A f/2!.8 or an f/1!.8 if you can manage it!. I've linked to a good exposure calculator below if you want to play around with what you're going to need to do for speed and aperture!.

I'd also recommend a tripod and a remote cable!. I find people are a lot more at ease if you're not camped out behind the camera and can stand up and talk to them!. And you can snap when they're not expecting it and get some great shots!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hi! First of all if you doubt your settings use the no flash automatic setting!.!.!.!.It is sometimes hard to know if your camera is producing blurry shots on the screen!. Since you are just a hobbyist I would say using an automatic session is perfectly acceptable!.

Do some pics outside by brick or other type of wall!. even an alley works great!. Stand along side of them and get profile shots of them holding hands talking, kissing, etc!. Just being natural!.!.Think of it as journaling their relationship and just let them be natural!. You could also take pics of them walking and holding hands !.!.!.if you are outside and can find some steps!.!.have the guy in back and the girl in front!. You can have the guys arms around the girl and have the girl looking back and up at the him while he is looking at her!.!.!.hope these tips help!Www@QuestionHome@Com
