I haven't gotten the pictures taken yet and the sitting fee is reasonable, but the packages seem pricey!. The first package is 2-5x7's for $69, the second is 2-8x10's and 2-5x7's for $169, the third is 3-8x10's and 6-5-7's for $319!. there are more but they are to expensive!. am i getting ripped off!? should i cancel my appointment or are all photographers going to be this pricey unless i go to like wal-mart!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Depends on where you are located!. Geography has alot to do with the price of things!. also, you might see if he offers a cd instead of pictures!. Most studios are going that way as well!. As for cancelling, you have that right!. However, if the school has a contract with the photographer, you only have to take your tux or drape with him!. You can get the other pictures anywhere else you desire!. Photography like most things unfortunately is going up in price these days!. But remember, you are paying not just for pictures, but everything that came about for you to get those pictures!. i!.e!. the photographer's degree, his rent and utilities, his camera and equipment, his expertise and experience!.!.!.!.etc!. Have you seen his work!? I bet it's far more creative than Wal-mart or JC Penny's!. If having an outstanding image for your senior pictures is a priority for you and his work is the one you want, go for it!. also, is the sitting fee applied to the purchase!? Does he retouch for free!? Will he provide your yearbook advisor with a retouched, sized image for publication!?Www@QuestionHome@Com When I got my senior pics taken, it didn't matter where I got them done, they were all expensive!. Around this time, all photographers want to take advantage!. You just have to shop around!. Ive found that Wal-Mart and K-Mart photography isnt all that bad!.
