A good place to start would be basic shapes and perspective!.

Circles, squares, triangles, cylinders etc!. then try and give them perspective!. Use shading and highlights to give them depth!. Build on those elements and you can create anything!.

also: Try just sketching with a pencil, very little detail at first, I you are inspired to add more detail, then do it!.

As an artist, I found that my work improved drastically when I began studying other artists work and technique, and spending more time on a piece!.

Art is really like anything else, its how much of yourself you put in to it!.

Draw from life!.!.!.it's that simple!.

Forget about shading etc to begin with, just look at something around you and try to draw it!. It's a cliche, but learn to 'draw what's there, not what you think is there'!.

The easiest way to do this is to break up what you want to draw into simple shapes!. IE, an arm is a cylinder, a head is slightly squashed sphere, etc!. 'Block in' your drawing with those shapes, then add the details!.

There are probably a few million tutorials out there on the internet that can give you a lot of helpful info, but unfortunately there's no quick fix or magic formula!. Learning to draw takes a little bit of knowledge and a hell of a lot of practice!. Just draw every single day and you'll improve!.

Don't miss this book! It's called Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain!. It shows that drawing well is a skill anyone can learn and if you follow the book like an art course, and do all the exercises, you will soon be drawing beautifully!. PS You can sometimes find it used!. Web search "used books" and you'll pay a lot less than Amazon!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
