Question: Would an employer take me seriously if I got my BFA in graphic design online!?
I'm looking at colleges that have both campus and online programs!. Both the Academy of Art University and Savannah College of Art and Design have campus programs in graphic design and online programs, and you can get your BFA either way!.

I would like to do it online because I need to work and need to do it on my own time!. So would I be taken seriously once I graduate!? I also plan on doing an internship and portfolio, once I graduate!.

But yea can someone give me some advice!? Please!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you obtain your degree from an accredited college or university, it doesn't matter whether it's done on-campus or online!. It has the same weight either way!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

In the visual fields, the #1 thing an employer will almost always be looking at is your portfolio, and the #2 thing your interview presence!. So if your portfolio is good, most won't care where/how you got your qualification, so long as you are skilled and well trained!. If you are an artist of any sort, your portfolio is your means of getting work!.

Bear in mind, though, that there may be the odd exception, and if they are trying to decide between you and another candidate with a hands-on degree from a good college, it may count against you!. But really this is true of anyone with a degree from anywhere!. If there is any disadvantage at all it is minimal, and internship experience will certainly help you!.

Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com
