Question: Printing Incompatible JPEG
I asked this question earlier, but I'm still a bit unsure on something!.

I made quick edits (rotation, auto adjustment, brightness) on a Windows Vista computer, when I was viewing images in its photo gallery!. It had this Fix/adjust tab to the side, and that's all I did!. They still seem to be JPEG files!.

After resaving some of these and whatnot, some appear when viewed on my camera (but are smaller sized in the camera screen than normal), while others still don't!. It mostly seems to be my vertical images (which I had to rotate via comp) that are incompatible JPEG!.

If I bring the memory card with the images I want to stores to print (like walmart), will these incompatible images still print!? I also have them saved onto a CD, will they print!? Or is it possible that it won't work!?

Is there anything I can do!? I didn't use photoshop or anything!.!.!.!.any softwares to revert back to the "true" originals!? I forgot to save a few of them I believe!.

Thanks again!

**Note: I've tried re-saving them using Canon's Zoombrowser EX software that was included, but it doesn't appear to be working!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I've had this problem before!. It was only the camera that had a problem displaying them!. The best way to find out if this is going to be a real problem (no matter what the problem actually is) is to just try it!. You can upload a few of these troubled pictures at walmart!.com and see if their software reads it!. You don't have to pay until the very very end, so just go through the process and see if it appears--and how it looks!. Mine have always been just fine!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The first thing I would do is double check the files and make sure they end in !.jpeg It's possible that when you made the adjustments they were saved as a different file type and if that's the case it's actually a really easy fix!. Open the photos in question and resave them using the "save as" option as opposed the "save" when you do this you should see an option for "save as type" below the box for "file name!."
Scroll down until you see the option for JPEG files!.
As far as the images on the CD, same thing just make sure they're in a JPEG file format!. It's possible that Wal-Mart or other stores with similar services can access the files if they're not in a JPEG format but I'm not sure!. Your best is to find out exactly what type of files they're currently saved as and try to resave them in a JPEG format!.
As far as the "true" originals that's going to depend on whether or not the "new" files you have were saved as separate files or if they were saved over the "originals!."
Not an expert on this sort of thing but I have a little experience with this kind of stuff!. Hope you're able to get the originals back or at least get it so you can get the pictures you want!. I've never tried putting stuff back on a memory card though so can't really help you there!. also not familiar with Vista so that could be causing the issues!.
