Question: My sketchbook has a bad smell!.!.!. please help!?
This sounds really weird, but my sketchbook just has this terrible smell on it, and I can't stand to draw in it at all when I open it!. I had used it all of last year (I put it in my backpack to take it to school) and I think it might have taken the smell from my backpack!. What do I do about the sketchbook!? Please help !.!.!.!. : SWww@QuestionHome@Com

First of all—do not use anything wet!. I am sure you know this—it will only add to the decomposition of the paper fiber, which is what may be a little of what is going on!. Find a pleasant scented dryer sheet and keep maybe 1 or 2 in between pages that do not contain—or are near—artwork (like in the very back of the book)!. This works for nasty school books as well!. also, you know those silicone packs you find in new shoe boxes, the ones that always say "do not eat"!? I would start collecting those and put one in each pocket of your back pack!. These help prevent moisture from forming in the first place!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It sounds like your sketchbook probably absorbed the odor of something in your bag!.

I would suggest that you air out you sketchbook by keeping it out of your bag and setting it outside when it's sunny, as it will help suck the odor out!. Keep repeating to get rid of the scent!.

If that doesn't help you may want to consider getting a new sketchbook!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Look deeper into your backpack!. Perhaps you left a half of a tuna sandwich in there!. Maybe that's were your missing cat went!. See if you can find any more of his remains!.

Where DO you keep your gym socks!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
