No, pilgrims!

Uelsmann did NOT use photoshop to create any of his famous images!.

He did it the old fashioned way with multiple negatives in a traditional darkroom!.

I'm not sure of the actual history, but Uelsmann has been doing this for many years!. Long before Photoshop, or even digital photography was even tought of!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Anyone who tells you the Jerry Uelsmann did this in Photoshop is WRONG!

Jerry Uelsmann is predigital!. He created this in the darkroom using multiple negatives and enlargers!.

Here is a link to an interview that Shutter Bug did with Jerry Uelsmann that helps explain his process!.

Edit: Whoops!.!.!. looks like someone else beat me to it, LOL!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Uelsmann makes his images in the darkroom!. He sets up masked negatives in several enlargers at once, then moves the paper from one to the next to expose the various pieces!. Blending is done by dodging and burning!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

he is known for making images with multiple negatives in the darkroom and that is how he would usually get his images with the surreal look to them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

most likely photoshop!.

he took an image of a stump and pasted the image of the house into it!. then he softened or (feathered) the bottom of the house and adjusted opacity!. he may have also used the clone and smudge tools to create the unity!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
