that in so many of those old paintings people have that same type of face!?

I think it has to do with what is considered beautiful in that specific era!. Surely, the people didn't all look the same, but maybe the artist (knowingly or unknowingly) "changed" the subject a little to fit the fashion!. You can see that done today too by all those street-artists who do people's portraits!. They always come out more glamorous, dramatic and sexy than in real life!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
