Wherever I had started a line or surface with crayon, would, later, resist the crayon, EXCEPT in the valleys of the paper's texture!. I had a few surprises, but I utilized them to good effect!. Try charcoal on wood, cloth, smooth and textured paper!. Try it on burlap!. Try applying charcoal to WET media like paper and cloth!. There are NO rules to this!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Yes!. But watercolor paper has a funny texture that will change the way the charcoal comes out!. You'll have white dots all throughout the charcoal areas!.
