Question: What is the meaning of the word 'brokeh'!? On google, it seems that this word is used in context of photograph

The word is actually "Bokeh"!. It refers to the portion of a picture that is out of focus!. Different lens designs create different qualities in the defocused area!. As a portrait and fashion photographer I need the background to go soft and fuzzy so my model will "pop" out of the image!.

Here is a good article for you to read!. It also has samples of images with good and bad bokeh!.

The first answer is correct, but for some reason a lot of people get this wrong!. Bokeh refers to the quality of out of focus highlights!. Good bokeh is when they are smooth and present to the eye!. The Leica 35mm Summicron fourth version is known to be the king of Bokeh!. A lot of people incorrectly identify the part of the picture that is out of focus as Bokeh, when this is really just known as shallow depth of field!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yup!.!.!. They pretty much said it all!.!.!. If the pattern made in the out of focus areas is too 'prominent' as it IS with a mirror lens for example, the background can be too distracting!.

What is wanted is a lens that gives a smooth, non-discript, no visible pattern blurred out of focus background!. Some lenses have visible circles of sorts, some stop sign shaped, some have very noticeable "donuts" in bright areas and in reflections (mirror lenses especially)!. These are generally NOT wanted!.!.!.!

I think you mean bokeh!. It's the way the out of focus areas looks!. You want it to be nice, soft, round circle shapes!.

You get the effect when you have your aperture wide open and your focus on something pretty far from your background!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Go to Flickr!.com and type in Bokeh and you see tons of photos with examples of what Bokeh is or atleast what it looks like to give you a better idea
