Wow, those are absolutely gorgeous! After I saw the first few, I was going to give you a couple pieces of advice, but then I saw your more recent work and was pretty much forced to swallow most of my words!. (You've really progressed, so kudos to you for that!) However, there are still a few things - both complimentary and critical - I'd like to address, so here goes:

1) Great job applying atmospheric perspective to several of your paintings! It's a hard thing to do, but you've managed to carry it out beautifully!.

2) Continue to push your shadows and your highlights!. They create drama and contrast, and, while you've gotten so much better at exaggerating your lights and darks, I still encourage you to take some of your values even further!.

3) I LOVE how you've been able to reflect buildings, objects, the sky, etc!. onto the bodies of water in many of your paintings!. Keep this up!. also, you might want to try experimenting with reflections in works that DON'T contain a water element!. Just because an object doesn't reflect a certain hue doesn't mean you can't add a touch of color to the surface of said object!. (This especially applies to areas that are white or grey, as both colors can look really flat if left plain!. Case in point: "My Sister's House!." While I do see some shadows on the house's white exterior, it still looks pretty flat!. Add a bit of sheer color - like light purple - to the white, and it'll really bring some oomph and some dimension to the front of the home!.)

All that said, keep in mind that you've still done a FANTASTIC job!. As an artist myself, I can really truly say I'm jealous of your talent!. Continue to utulize it, and you'll definitely find yourself going places!.

Hope this helps, and good luck with your painting endeavors! :)

Edit: If you're having trouble painting people, why don't you try doing them in a monochromatic color scheme instead of portraying them in their true-to-life colors!? You're a talented artist, and I'd really love to see what you could do with one color!. also, and this is a little bit off-topic, but have you ever used India Ink!? It's one of my favorite mediums, and I highly recommend any painter or drawer give it a try!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
