Question: If I wanted this done, what would I ask for!? Don't know what its called!
A friend of mine was telling me that a lot of photographers are doing baby portraits now and piecing together real life-size baby albums!.
I mean!.!. they'd do a shot of the baby's face, then ears, then arms, etc -- and somehow piece all the different pictures together to make it life-size to remember them!?!?
This is what a friend of mine told me about tonight and I'm REALLY interested in getting one done of my son!!
What would I even ask for!.!. what's this called in the photo-biz world!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Sounds like a little odd - photographing parts of the body to then make a life-size pic!.!.!. Of course not impossible! You could have someone take lots of little pictures and then piece them together as a mosaic with overlapping edges to retain the likeness (I would imagine you'd have to take those pics while baby is sleeping - and provided that you son is a peaceful sleeper!!! any movement, change is position would mess up the 'big picture!.!.!.)
Alternatively, have you conisedered: taking a picture of your son and having it professionally blown up so that his representation is of the same height / size as the height / size he is at the moment - you could even have this printed on canvas or acrylic for a true long lasting work of art! You could also have a really nice picture of your son blown up so that it needs to be printed on lots of A4 size papers!. I have done this with one of my pictures of a close up of a bung of flowers: you see two or three flowers, but I have printed them on 16 pieces of A4 photopaper - this makes a lovely wall poster where I have left a little white gap between each A4 page to give the impression of a big mosaic!. In this case, the resulting picture / poster would be bigger than life size

you can get the pictures inlarged and print them on larg paper!. kind alike a big poster!. how do you think they make the advertizements you see everywhere!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
Just get a real good digital photo done and take the image on flash drive to your Kinko's or other copy store and ask for a 3 foot poster size blow-up of the image!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
