Ok, the guy who previously answered didnt answer your question to how much $!. The answer is that you could probably purchase a piece made exactly like that for about 50$ from a machine shop!. For you to mold a piece of aluminum just like that would take you about 2 years and a journeyman's license and a machine shop with a forge equaling nearly 10,000$ or more!. I could probably make it for about 25$ from steel, but might be off just slightly!. Is this from a school project!?

See a local machine shop for replication, you will need dimensions to give them, try sketching a 3 view drawing to give them!. GOod luckWww@QuestionHome@Com

If you don't know much about metal working buy it!. If you can't buy it ask a machine shop if they can give you an estimate how much they would charge you to make it!. They are not going to make a mold, they are going to machine it from metal stock!. It depends if you need it exactly this size and shape, maybe two bars of straight metal with pins in there would do the same job (it looks like a kind of clamp/holder)!. That you could easily do yourself with a drill and a couple of nails and a metal saw (unless it's stainless steel, that's not much fun to work with)!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Thats a part machined from a solid block of metal!.

You can cast parts using a special mixture of sand (more technical than I feel like getting in here) but they will often require additional machining!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
