Question: Please critique my land/waterscape photos!?

I really love them!.!. you have a good eye for pics!. The 1st, 2nd and 6th are my favs - especially the weeping willow with the bench!.!. the picture makes me want to know where is this place and what are the shapes in the distance!.!.
The tree shot is great also!.!. sort of quirky, I would like something like that to hang in my office!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

1: the foreground and background are fighting each other in the composition, and the light is dull!. The bright patch in the middle distance is not a help!.
2: no real point of interest!. Middle-of-the day light!.
3: see my comment on 2!.
4: Muddy tonal values!. Too much boring middle ground (or sea, if you prefer!.) horizon too high!.
5: Horizon exactly halfway up the shot is not good!. shrubbery is a distraction!.
6: tones are muddy, as 4!. Horizon not level!. Wires are a no-no!.
7: Flat, boring lighting; too bright in the distance!. The concrete structures foreground are ugly and jarring!.
You are not waiting for the right light!. Light is an important factor in landscape work!. Use the two hours before sunset and the two hours after sunrise!. Don't just turn up and shoot!. You need to learn about composition, leading the eye into and around a picture, and juxtaposition!. You need to pay attention to the rule of thirds!. Look at the work of the masters (Colin Prior, Ansel Adams, Joe Cornish, Charlie Waite) and try to learn from them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
