Question: Black Border with Photoshop Smudge Tool!?
Whenever I smudge a color over onto a transparency the transparency shows up as black!.
Is there a way so that this black color doesnt show up on smudged transparent areas!?

As the doctor told his patient, if it hurts to do that, then don't do that!.

Don't smudge from a solid to a transparent area!. If you must use the smudge, flatten the floating transparent layer to a white layer!. Smudge!. Then create a layer mask to make it transparent where you need it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I suspect that you have it in darken mode instead of normal mode!. Select the smudge tool, then have a look at the mode box at the top of the page!. It should say "normal"!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

make sure your background color is white!. on the left side there are two black boxes, click the back one and change it to white!.!. it should work!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
