Question: Astrophotography with Telescope!?
i have a celestron nexstar 6 se telescope!. will it be good enough for astrophotography with a dslr camera!? if so which camera do u recommend for around $500 give or take $100!. i will be attaching the camera to the telescope via t-adapter and t-ring, no piggyback!. any info is welcome :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm not familiar with the Nexstar 6se, but i'd basically make sure it has a motor-driven mount to counter-act Earth's rotation - you're going to need this if you want to photograph anything in deepspace because of the long exposures required!. If you're just wanting to take pictures of the moon then you won't really need a motor because the exposures are much shorter!.

Best camera for astro are the Canons, because at higher ISO's they produce lower noise!.

I have used a Canon 400D and currently use a 40D!.

Canon has also specifically made a 5D, 30D or 20D (can't remember which one) where they have actually removed the IR filter that normally sits in front of the sensor plane - which is best suited for Astrophotography!. I think these cameras have a special suffix like 'ir' or 'i' to denote them, but they are rare in production!.!.!. here in Australia anyway!.
