Question: Is Toon Boom Animation Software any good!?

I'm really interested in majoring in fine arts!. i enjoy animation but never got to try any software out!. I know theres flash, but any others!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Digital pro is the best 2D software in the industry right now (imo) I adore it!. It's one of the hardest to learn but the potential it has is amazing!. I hear from a Toonboom representitive that it will even be able to incorporate 3D stuff next year, very exciting!.

There are 3 main softwares right now, Toonboom (I'm very bias towards this one because of it's built in rigging, and just plain awsomeness)
Flash, the old giant!. It's still the best for online applications, mini games, and web design!. Flash does have a rigging add on you can buy and upgrade, but I've never met anyone who has it!. It has a medium learning curve!.
Anime Studio , this is the kids-version of the software (as my animation supervisor put it!.) It has a crude rigging system, it's by far the cheapest, and it's very easy to learn!.

for 3D there are 2 big bosses, Maya and 3D max!. There are a bunch of other under-dog ones, light wave (I've heard good things about, ) And Blender, a free open source application that can keep up in it's own right!.

for just modeling 3D computer images, Z-brush is the big boss there!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
