if you are talking about paint fillers that add volume to your paint or pigment,!.!.!.yep, you just that, add the paint to the filler!.!.!.Now, one thing to remember is that the more filler you use, the less pigment there is and then you have thinned out pigment!.!.!.!.if you are just looking for more impasto style canvases or boards, use a modeling gel on the surface first, wait for it to dry and then paint over that and then you have your pigment preserved and all the volume you want!.!.!.!.!.One other thing you can do is gesso your surface using gesso that has been fortified with soemthing like Talcum powder or even plaster or some other kind of thickener to make your gesso stand up better and you'll have more under-strokes on the gesso before you paint!.!.!.does that answer your question!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

That is right!. I presume you have purchased finely crushed silica!. That should be fine!. You can also use chalk, finely ground, too!.

Check out the site of Louis Velasquez in California for calcite sun oil, since you are an artist!. (velapress@aol!.com)!. I am sure you will find his discoveries of immense value!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You can also mix into an acrylic primer and prime the support with it!. Even if you paint on primed canvas, you should add a layer of primer anyway before painting!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
