Question: Can you tell me what I need to work on with my PICS!?
I really enjoy photography, but only on a *hobby* basis!.
Don't worry, I am not trying to be professional!.
Do I have a 'good eye'!? I like my shots, but want a professional or semi-pro to check 'em out!.

Can you tell me what I need to work on & how to do so!?

Thanks!

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
1: this is quite a good shot, but the boy's face is a bit off-focus
2: this is too messy!. What are you trying to show me!?
3: a nice enough snapshot of a sunny street
4: he may well be cute, but how are we supposed to know without seeing his face!?
5: it's a flower!. Oh goody!. I've only seen 47,975 flower shots so far this week (and it's only Tuesday)
6: ok kind of idea, but way overexposed!.
7: lacking in contrast and bad lens flare!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

To be honest, the first one, and the flower pic are the only ones I liked!.

I like the contrast of color in the flower picture!. In the picture of the little boy holding the coin, I like how you focused on him with the coin, and then the background was blurry!. (that one look professional)Www@QuestionHome@Com

1 - I LOVE that kid's facial expression!. It's great!. You should have made that face the focus of your photo!. Priceless!.!.!.

2 - Again!.!.!.!.the mannequin is what caught my eye first!. Not the bushes!.!.!.!.!.

3 - This is a great photo!. Too bad that awful woman in the sunglasses got in the shot! The lighting in the photo is beautiful!.

4 - Very nice, I liked the other one better though!. Too many people!.!.!.!.!.it's distracting!.

5 - Beautiful flower shot!.!.!.!.!.don't see many!. It has great contrast and lighting!. Don't forget the rule of thirds though! Off center is always better!.

6 - I really like this as an abstract photo!. It took me a minute to figure out what it was lol!. It's over exposed!.!.!.!.but I think that was on purpose, right!? Very colorful, I like it!.

7 - Nice architectural shot!. Nice clean lines!. I even like the sun glare!.!.!.!.makes it kind of interesting!.

I think you have one hell of an eye!. Keep going!Www@QuestionHome@Com

the flower is over exposed!. It was way too sunny for a good shot!. Try getting a tighter shot!.

Carnival ride is just too busy!.

hotel is kinda boring, and the bright sun is kind of distracting!.

the 4 pics from downtown are decent but just snapshots in my opinion!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

1!. It is not a good photo (Just my opinion)

2!. Is OK but not great!.

3!. I like this one a lot!.

4!. Its the same thing as #3 but cropped, which I don't like!.

5!. Nice, but you should have taken the photo closer the the flower, it is kind of far away and it made my eye wander aroung the picture!.

6!. It would be nicer if i could see the ride better, all I really see is white!.

7!. Nice, I like the sepia and sunlight affect as well

Good Job!

When I look at these photos I find it difficult to read what you were responding to!. Was it the relationship between the father and son walking hand in hand!. Then why is the lady at the left eyeing the kid!? In the carnival is it the swirl of color that the rides make on long exposure!? Then why is there a big area of white in the middle of it!? In the hotel shot is it the pattern of the windows and architectural details!? Then why is there a wall across the lower portion and a burned out sun at the top!?In the planters, garbage can and manikin shot I can't figure out that one at all!. What's the concept there!?
So if I had to suggest an improvement it would be with the thought process leading up to the shutter release!. Eliminate distractions to the message or graphic element that conveys it!.
Keep shooting, it's a lifelong process like learning an instrument!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
