Photography is my hobby!. BUT, not enough that I am up-to-date on what are the best cameras in a lower price range!. I want a camera that I could potentially submit photos to a contest or ones that are ''frame-worthy''!. I have a Nikon Cool Pix camera!. It cost about $200, and is reliable!. Though it goes through batteries quickly, it has lasted me about 4 years, and is still in excellent working mode!. I have framed several of my pictures that I have taken with my camera!. I also reccommend Canon Powershots, also $200Www@QuestionHome@Com Stick with a name brand from a store where you can return it after you play with it!. The 7-10 mega-pixel range will get you the quality sized image but your eye and ability will make use of it!. If you get the bug like many of us it won't be your last camera!. I would also suggest a good editing program like Photoshop Elements or Paint Shop Pro!. If you do get one and you are not familiar with SLR's, even if you are I would also recommend a good instructional DVD!.
