I'm not sure exactly what you're asking, but I think I get it!. It sounds like you are planning on using Photoshop to make a two color design!. You do not need to use black as one of your colors when you design for a two color print, since it is better not to use the CMYK channels, but to create spot channels!. To do this, go to the channels pallet and click on the drop down menu!. Select New Spot Channel!. Click on the color to set the color to your desired choice for that channel using the color library to find exactly the right pre-mixed spot color!. The name of the color will then be connected to that channel when you're ready to output your separations!. Anytime you have that channel selected, you will see your color selection change to black, but you'll notice that any mark you make while that channel is selected will appear in the color you chose as that channel's color!.

The easiest way for me to do 2-color design has been to use Illustrator instead!. Anytime you use a spot color in the document, they are put into their own channels automatically and easily separated later!. This also makes it easier to get really crisp lines!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
