Question: Anybody know about foam sculpting!?
I'm looking to find info about sculpting from foam - preferably the spray foam in a can that I could spray over a wire form!. But I'm also interested in the blue and pink foam you buy and then glue together and shape w/ knives/sandpaper/etc!. How does this work!? I am looking to make a long simple shape of a body of a woman to mount on my wall!. ANY info would be great (like what do you use to stick the layers of foam together!?)Www@QuestionHome@Com

I can answer about the spray foam only: you get a really organic shape, so it is ideal if you want something quick and strange/alien looking!. I used it to make cocoons for a music video and a "special" 5th TMNT shell for a sketch comedy show!. I also used it to fill hollow latex castings!. You wouldn't get a nice result if you're trying to make a realistic woman!.!.!.unless you had a mold or tried to sculpt over another form!. Since it's spray foamed rubber, say goodbye to any tools you try to use on it, you'd have to be diligent to keep your tools clean!. It is very reactive and enlarges A LOT!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
