High Fashion/Runway Modeling = your height maybe a tad to short, but you must realize one thing!.!.!.you are a human coat hanger and your purpose on the runway, is to display the designers clothes!. High fashion look is usually girls with high cheekbones, long necks and square jaws!. This part of the industry is extremely competitive because its one of the highest paid!. Glamour Modeling = this really doesn't have any requirements!. An oval face is preferred in the model, cause it turns out to be sexier!. These model are at least simi fit do to they show a lot of their body!. Glemour includes magazines, implied shoot, lingerie, promotional tradshows and car events!. Catalogue Modeling = another very competitive area, but give much exposure to the model!. Brand names are usaully involed and it all depends where you live, due to it's regional, but in demand!. Body Part Modeling = this is specialty area and requires the foot, hand, leg, neck, etc!. A perfect body part is needed!.!.!.meaning, NO showing viens or scars, having perfect nails in hand or foot (long slender fingers are preferred), and a clean/blemish free face!. Commercial Modeling = no requirements really needed for this!. Can be known as "Real People Modeling"!. Another words!.!.!.you only need to fit the client's critieria they are looking for!. Tip if you are serious: Find a someone locally that is involved with the industry!. Ask them of a repurtatal photographer so you can start a portfolio and you might want to find an agency (check all their referrances out-VERY IMPORTANT)!. This will cost you money to get started!.!.!.they may even want you to take class and the photographer is not free, unless you have a friend or relative that is willing to give you a free photo shoot and prints!.
