Question: For painting house numbers on curbs, would a black background with white numbers be the best!?

I don't know which would be best for others, but I can see white lettering better on a black background far better than black lettering on white, or any other color combination!.

And if you want to step it up a notch, try a white paint with reflective flecks in it so it can be seen even better at night!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You'd want the background to be in stark contrast with the curb!. I'd assume the curb is cement colored, so yellow would not be the best color in this situation!. I'd use a dark blue background and a bright orange ( i like the reflective bits answer) for the lettering!. It'd be ugly, but it sure would stand out!

Otherwise, black and white IMO!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's been consistently proved that black lettering on a yellow background is the most visible!. Other combinations might jump out more, but black on yellow remains clear to read!. If you look at allot of safety signage, you'll notice the black on yellowWww@QuestionHome@Com

You may consider black on yellow!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.visually that is very easy to see and read!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i think the other way around is better cuz thats how it is in my neighborhoodWww@QuestionHome@Com
