Question: Picture editing program [to download], a little more advanced than Picasa!?

I don't edit my pictures with like, stars and crap all over them!. I edit them to brighten things up or make them look more professional!. I have Picasa right now, and I like it a lot, but I want something a little more advanced!. I learn really fast, I just have to play with it a little while!.

Any ideas on which I could download!?

Definitely go with GIMP!. It's a professional quality program that can do everything PhotoShop can do, except that it's free!. I actually prefer it to PhotoShop in terms of user-friendliness, although I am probably a bit biased because I have been using GIMP since I was pretty young and haven't used PS a whole lot!. However if you learn quickly, I'm sure it will not be an issue for you at all!. And it is widely enough used (by professional and amateur photographers and digital artists all over the place) that there are tutorials and help resources ALL OVER the web for it, so if you have trouble with anything on there you'll be able to find help quite easily!.
